 Impulse Ignites the Fire

Inspiration appears first as a spark in the mental world of those willing to accept it. There in the mental world the spark becomes an idea.

The heart becomes interested in the idea, rejoices in it, is excited about it, dreams about it, and finally desires to implement it. This is when will power comes into the picture and sets the project in motion.

To operate correctly and efficiently requires that actions and phenomena evolve from a higher source in the world of ideas, from someplace in the divine scheme of things.

This divine impulse descends and at first is received as thought. It then moves into the world of emotions, and in this manner, wrapping itself in matter, it becomes more and more dense until it manifests in the physical world.

Any idea devoid of divine inspiration will sooner or later be revealed as flawed. He, who throws himself into passionate action, trusting his feelings without stopping to question the source of his burning desire, simply proves that he doesn't understand how to light a fire.5
